I’m Sean, and I’ve been photographing people around the Denver metro for over a decade. Most people tell me they hate getting their picture taken, which I get. It’s weird having a camera pointed at you.

My job is to make it feel easy. I’ll guide you on where to stand and what to do with your hands, and I’ll also catch the candid moments in between. You’ll end up with a full set of images, not just one or two you feel okay about.

This photo was taken near Winter Park during peak fall colors—one of my favorite times to explore the Fraser Valley. I always bring my camera along when I’m out adventuring with my two kids. The area is not only breathtaking year-round, but also incredibly kid-friendly, which makes it easy for us to get outside together. Photography gives me a reason to slow down and take in the beauty around us, seeing the landscape not just through my lens, but through my children’s eyes as well. The vibrant fall colors, the crisp mountain air, and the joy of experiencing it all alongside my kids—that’s what inspired this photo.
